dealers in utah

I am looking to buy a new travel trailer and am new to Utah. I would love to get your advice on any dealers that you like or dislike. Thank you all.

  • Drove from Az. up to Utah to Ray Citte Rv. Treated VERY fairly. I would buy from them again
  • LaGrande Oregon is where Arctic Fox and Nash trailers are made .
Milwaukie Oregon is where Komfort trailers are made .
Each of those are a full day's drive from SLC .
All 3 are heavier duty trailers than the run of the mill stuff from Elkhart Indiana .
Those 3 are all excellent .
I have an 11 year old Komfort purchased new that I factory ordered after owning 3 other RV's .
It has been trouble free .
I compared the 3 extensively and chose the less popular Komfort due to heavier duty construction .
    I tow with a diesel GMC .
Those 3 may not be as good a choice for someone living in Texas but from Utah I would make sure that I closely examined the qualities that these 3 offer .
Get a bid from 3 dealers for a factory order with exactly the same specs .
If your local dealer is not lowest , then show him the other bids and ask for a price match .
    That worked for me .
I prefer to stay away from brand discussions unless it is very clear .
This decision was very clear to me then and now .
For my first ( and second and third) trailer I bought late model used .
I resold with very little loss after I learned by doing what constituted a good trailer .
That exercise worked well for me .
  • Bought my first trailer from Blaine Jensen in Kaysville. Very pleased with the whole experience and with any warranty service we received after purchase. Blaine Jensen has since been converted to a Camping World so can't say how they are now. My second purchase(current trailer) was from Ray Citte in Roy. Also very pleased with that experience, and even more pleased with warranty work that followed, service dept has alsways treated me real well, even came out and fixed one problem in the parking lot, with no appointment. While shopping for current trailer we came close to purchasing from Sierra in Sunset but they did not want to deal. I could have got same trailer from dealer in California for 5K less. I tried to talk them down only 2K but they would not budge. Not saying they are not a good dealer just they would not make the deal I wanted.
  • Howdy. We went to Camping World to buy but in hindsight we should have done more research on the type of model and masnufacturer. We got and were directed to a Jayco and we had it trouble free for 7 years. Traveled all over the northwest and southern california. Next time I will go to credit union for financing and look deeper into reducing the MSRP. Good luck.
  • It would help to know what line of trailer that you're looking at due to the fact that certain dealers usually specialize in different lines. For instance, Nash or Lance may only have 1 or 2 dealers statewide, and Jayco may have 5-6.
