And this is why I'm encouraging my kids to pick careers that are as "economy proof" as possible. Something I didn't realize when I was their age, but fortunately chose wisely, unintentionally.
I'm just sitting here waiting to capitalize on the upcoming recession...
I know MANY kids who HAD TO GO to big name college's for their degree, only to get a job out of their study field and triple digit debt.
Our good friends daughter just got married, between the 2 of them, they have close to $200,000 in school loans... He is now installing windows..
I told my kids the same a Grit... They BOTH went to Community College first and transferred credits after.. They both graduated with zero debt and 1 (29 ) is now a lead nurse and the other (24 ) an accountant..
