I looked at all the site listed. Which one showed Hustler as assigned reading for 2nd/3rd graders? And which one lists a student that just found and was offended by something never heard of before they found the book in the library?

IMHO, if a parent thinks their child will be harmed from learning some people act different, by all means don't allow your child to read them, don't force your standards on others. Of course, that would mean you would need to be involved with what child is reading.
