If you have collision coverage, go through your insurance company and pay your deductible. You'll get your deductible back if it was the other guys fault. This will give you the advantage of using your company's preferred shop and the agent will do the fighting for you. If you go after the other guys company yourself, or if you don't have collision, you'll pretty much be on your own.
