Dealing with the Dealer ??

I bought my recent Ram and was within 100 dollars of the TruCar exceptional value price, but think I could have done about a 1000 dolars better had I really tried. Course, I'll never know now. LOL! I did get a fifth wheel hitch install thrown in with that, and will find out this Friday morning whether or not they try to get over cheap on that deal. The best thing is do a little research, determine the options you want, and find out the ballpark price on Edmunds or Trucar. The dealerships are still going to make money, they have to in order to stay open. Just don't let them make the overhead payment off of you alone. I wish I had bought the truck at the first dealership I stopped at. It had the options I really wanted, but the salesperson reminded me of some heckler that just came in off the carnival tour and really ticked me off. I left mad and should have let that be the end of truck shopping for the day.
