I do like the dry bath of the 992 and the floorplan of the rear part of it. What turns me off most on it is the access to the cab over bed. Someone has to crawl over the other persons legs to get in or out of bed and with my bladder that isn't good. If it was me alone maybe I'd consider it harder but the 990 makes it easier to enter and exit without disturbing the other person as much.
Also the winter camping half of my brain makes me wonder how cold it would be up there as my 1150 didn't get great heating to the bed area and it was fully open to the rear of the camper. I would get frost build up on the walls of my 1150 to the point I could make out exactly where the aluminum frame was, I think it might even be worse with the more closed off cab-over area of a 992. Awesome camper in my opinion otherwise and $200 less than the 990.
