DEF filter cleaning message???

My 2011 F-350, 6.7 diesel has worked great for 12,000 miles. For the last 3000 miles the DEF “filter cleaning message” has not shown on the driver display. I know the system is using DEF because I have to add fluid to the DEF tank. My question is for Ford users with the DEF system, does your display still show when the exhaust filter is being cleaned even beyond the 15,000 mile mark, or is the system NOT supposed to continue giving this message after so many miles?

Yes, it still shows. Willing to bet you are just missing the message as it is not on the display for very long. I have missed it many, many times but saw it very recently.

Same with mine, it flashes on and then off very quickly. If I am not looking right at it at the time, I miss the message.

Mine has 20,000 miles on it, messages continue to show.

Same here. I miss the message often, but I have an edge insight and can see when it is happening. The insight displays a little red R when the truck is in regen mode. One can also tell when the truck is in regen mode because mileage drops about 2mpg on the instant read gauge :). I would not worry about it to much.
