Cummins was late in implementing it... They actually had many MORE problems with their no DEF system, which is why they finally switched. They really haven't been out long enough, to really say if they will have more or less problems than the others
Cummins was not late in implementing... Ram "pick-up" trucks met emission standards for 2010, although the Ram commercial trucks started using DEF in 2010 MY as mandated by emission standards set by the Feds. They did not "finally switch" because of their "no DEF system" (think maybe you meant "none" in their "pick-up" line) they switched all their Cummins powered trucks to DEF to meet the new emission standards.
