Recalls are only for safety issues. I have a 2001 Dodge ram 2500 (farm truck now) that had an intake plenum leaking. It had a steel to aluminum connection with different expansion ratios. Went to the local dealer ship when it started using oil real bad and I figured out what was causing it. I told them it was bad design and asked if Chrysler would supply the parts to fix it. They said they had a service bulletin out on it but, would not help even on parts. Said if it wasn't a safety problem that the government won't make them fix it. I'm sure it is the same on RV's.
