You came to this decesion based on responses from well meaning folks, but did you ever consider calling the number and checking it out? From all the answers here, you have A LOT of good questions to ask them. Maybe the math doesn't work because you have yet to receive all the variables - which you are not going to get unless you dig into it yourself - I believe you stated "as I understand it".
