The only truck driving jobs I've ever found that paid decent money were union jobs, and the union and non-union car haulers. I know plenty of broke, retired, non union, truck drivers who can't afford to get into RVing. My son works for a non-union car transport company and he makes more than most owner operators! Many of the truck driving jobs pay by the mile, or percentage of the transportation rate. You break down, you don't get paided. Your sitting waiting in line to get loaded or unloaded, you don't get paid. And I'm saying that from experience!!! I've done both side of the aisle trucking jobs. I thank God every month when I get my Teamsters pension that I found a union truck driving job!!! Don't get a penny from those other driving jobs.
