I got rid of the twist-lock inlet and installed a hard wired cord.
Cord StorageBenefits:
Used wasted space to contain cord.
Inlet was not attached to trailer properly.
Wires were not tightened on rear of inlet.
Cord twist lock end was faulty from new.
No waste of space in trailer or truck.
Only pull out what is needed.
Entire cord doesn't get wet or dirty.
Easy to wipe clean as it is fed back in.
No worry about poor connection in wall.
Rodents can't get in the door I devised.
Large opening so tangles aren't a problem.
Door locks while being used or stored.
Tether keeps plug near door and prevents tangles.
#1 benefit: DW no longer complains about the stupid locking ring.
