Can di-electric spray be sprayed directly to the 7 pin cord on tt? I sprayed it on and several days later, as we hooked up to leave the CG, the tv trailer app said the tt was disconnected. After several minutes, it changed to connected trailer. Am I using this correctly?
Like said, di-electric grease/spray is non-conductive.
I use DeoxIT D5 by Caig;

Caig Deoxit D5 removes oxidation, something not all contact cleaners can do. I also use Deoxit Gold, it has the deoxidation chemicals and also a surface conditioner that protects from further oxidation.
A good contact cleaner for brass and copper is a mixture of vinegar and salt, it removes oxidation and can be followed with barrier dielectric material of choice.
