dicor curing time

just wondered I just went up on 2011 sprinter, bought in late 2010, and caulking was cracked pretty bad where front cap meets the roof. First time I have seen any cracks in caulking since I bought it, I just used dicor self leveling over the cracks and smoothed over with a flat scraper, so I have had it around 3 1/2 years, is this the norm for expectancy for caulking? I expect more cracks to develop where I did not do yet. And also whats the curing time on dicor? There was an unexpected downpour here 4 hours after I put it on, go figure. Trailer has never leaked by the way. 3rd thing is its a 35 foot sprinter and there are quite a few places where its coming unglued and " bubbles " are. Roof is edpm I am sure, is this normal?

  • I have had roof bubbles (not a lot and not to large) almost since day one. My rig is a 2005. I have traveled many thousands of miles with no issues.
  • I think you're fine too. It may not have been totally cured, but as mentioned, it begins to firm up almost immediately. 6 hours probably has some cya time built in for Dicor.
  • I will get back up there when I can, it needs a good bath anyway and look it all over again, thanks
  • I just called Dicor for just that product information. A six hour window of dry weather is recommended and a two day curing time with the RV stationary.
  • Should be fine, I have read in four hours it is water proof, in 5 minutes it skims over. I bet you would be fine in a hour actually. Love that stuff its great.
