We had a Ford station wagon and a Chevy pickup in the driveway for as far back as I can remember. I learned to drive in the '64 Galaxie (I think) wagon. The 352 4-bbl FE engine drug that thing around for 200,000 miles.

The pickup was a company truck and dad always picked a Chevy. I wish some of them were in my driveway now. Had an El Camino and a string of regular cab short bed C-10's with 327/350 engines after that.

When he retired he bought a Ford truck. Go figure. But then that '83 F-100 is still with us. It was my son's ride until the engine wore to a point it wasn't worth replacing. One of these days we'll have the time to go through it again...
