It is a US article not a European one.I find a lot of bias from US sources, no mention of NEW Diesel engines being released outside NA
What was interesting was this. Remember it is only 2% Diesel usage in the US. Elephant in the room is Cancer causing tiny particulates ,Ozone and CO2 ( Greenhouse Gas)from modern DI Gas engines. They are considerably higher in the US than Europe in this case.
Europe's love affair with diesel is already fading, with its market share in the European Union falling from 53.6 percent at the end of 2014 to 49.9 percent at the end of 2016, European automotive association ACEA's most recent data shows.
