Diesel Exhaust Brake
Hey All, Looking at stepping up to a new truck and a diesel for the first time. I am looking for guidance on exhaust brakes and any differences between GM, Ford and Dodge? Thanks in advance!

If my trailer is connected to my truck (2015 RAM 3500 Cummins) when I switch on the ignition, and the exhaust brake and tow/haul was enabled on the last ignition cycle, the exhaust brake re-enables but the tow/haul mode will not.
If I do not have the trailer connected, then regardless if the exhaust brake or tow/haul were enabled on the last ignition cycle, they both are off on the next ignition cycle.
That's how mine works. If I am not connected, it always ends up off the next cycle. I was thinking the comment about being always on was regardless of connected to trailer or not.
