I have a 2005 dodge diesel,
so its of the older generation diesels and is a little more forgiving of the fuel additives.
I normally use diesel kleen during the winter, but over the years I have used stanadyne, schaeffee oil, and lucas
who knows the parts store may have got a good deal on the stuff and push different products to make a buck.
I think the best thing to do is keep the fuel filters changed,
I do buy my fuel from a local station that I know their fuel pump filter change schedule, also the ambulance drivers buy their fuel there.
so far so good, I use Baldwin fuel filters and change them every second oil change.
