That's weird because MY Mopar rotors are still on my truck and I replaced the OE front brakes @ 75,000 miles and the rears are still original. My truck tows heavy 90% of it's life. When I put my level kit on I went on and replaced the ball joints and u-joints just so I would feel better but there was nothing wrong with them, I just did it because I had it pretty much torn down at the time. BTW, Napa HD rotors are very good rotors.;)
Don't know how to explain the front brakes. I guess the prior owner of the truck must have towed a fifth wheel because I found bed rail holes for a hitch sealed over on the bed floor. I know I'm only the third person that's held title to the truck (one thing that CarFax usually gets right), so I don't think the mileage is bogus. I know little about wrenchin' a vehicle, but my eyes didn't lie to me about the rotor cracks, and they weren't the superficial ones that resurfacing will take care of. Anyway, they've been good since they were replaced. Rear brakes are still fine. Not positive about this, but the PS pump may have been a victim of a pulley alignment issue with the serpentine belt. Couple years back I found a Dodge TSB covering early 3rd generation Cummins (04.5/2005) describing the problem. I don't know if my truck ever received the fix, but I know one of the signs of it were excessive wear on the outer edge of the belt. Who knows, might have been the reason the PS grenaded (It started going bad on me while driving it. Made it to the shop, and it finished its destruction (shaft completely broke, sent pulley rattling around under the hood) when the tech fire it up to drive into the service bay).
