A newer gm 6.0 gas with 6 speed or other gasser similar will pull that load really easy. I pull much more then that and have zero complaints. Look for the gas job for that weight, diesel is overkill at this point. I have owned both, so both have there advantages and disadvantages. But honestly a gas job with 6 speeds will pull up to 10000 lbs very well. Just my experience, good luck on your purchase.
