The 2010 and later diesel engines are more reliable overall LMAO you are truly funny. but still are much more expensive to repair than a gas engine. A new set of injectors for example will cost $5,000 installed for a diesel or more than a full gas engine rebuild You have not had a gas engine rebuilt lately have you? Call around your not going to rebuild a gas engine for under $5K unless your doing all the work yourself! .
I get more miles per gallon with my diesel truck but also have to travel further to find a station that pumps diesel maybe true if you live in BFE. I live in a small town and there are over a dozen stations selling diesel. . And then there is the matter of finding DEF as when it runs low the truck goes into limp mode. Lots of problems as well with the NOx sensors that are new to the diesel trucks that burn DEF and when these start to fail or do fail it can cripple a truck.
A diesel is a good choice to tow more than 13,000 lbs. but for less than that amount of load a truck with a gas engine and 4.10 gears will be more than adequate and you will save $15,000 or more over the time you own and use the truck. Please run those numbers for me as in do the math.

Well he owns a DuraMax, not a Cummins I can replace injectors (all six for $400). But mine are $385 for new and $165 for rebuilt stock out put and the newer trucks are higher. But how often do you have to replace them, every 250K or more if you take care of your vehicle.
I change oil at 10,000 mils and could go further. Fuel is 10% to 20% more fuel mileage 30% to 40% better
