As some of you may have read, I need to buy a bigger truck and am considering a dually ( among other things ). I've also found a few newer trucks with diesel engines that fall into my budget, but dies...

Well... I sold my 'used' Hemi powered Dodge and bought a 'used' Cummins 5.9 powered Dodge. Cost me about $1K when all was said and done. Now I pay about $0.30 less for a gallon of diesel than for regular 87 octane gas (here in Calgary , Alberta) AND get about 40-50 percent better mileage (both commuting in the city and towing my 5th wheel).
I'd say the diesel is the better choice... YMMV :)
