It's not cost effective either to buy the Laramie, King Ranch or LTZ but people do. I see no difference in ordering a truck how you want, whether gas, diesel or loaded to the gills. They all depreciate. I bought an ST Ram 2500 CTD. Not much difference than a guy buying a gas Laramie Longhorn 2500. Both options negate each other. I just went for pulling power rather than all the bling. Same mpg empty, but I get better mpg towing heavier. That negates the extra oil and fuel filter changes.
