I bought a 03' Ram Cummins 5.9 with LBQC and the 6spd manual tranny. It's also got a smarty programmer that I use for +40hp and it advances the timing. The previous owner also did a little intake and exhaust work.
My travel trailer is only 3750lb or so empty. Probably 5,000+ loaded.
I bought the diesel for the turbo since I live at 10,000ft and tow in the mountains.
I still have to change down to 5th and rev to 3,000 rpm to maintain 60-65 on the steep passes.
IIRC I payed ~$15,000 for truck with 110K miles. Empty it gets 20mpg in the mountains and has great power for passing.
Heck even at 7,000ft on a slight incline I can lug it down to 35-40mph in 6th, towing my TT.
