I think most would agree modern diesels are inherently more capable. And for the same price, I would consider one for a work vehicle, or a strictly tow rig.
Not for a DD. Not in the climate I live, the potholed roads, and no interest in having such a cumbersome truck.
Maybe the dodge VM 3.0 will change my mind though.
But that's about the same price option as any premium gas engine.
