To pick the 5.4, (sorry excuse of a motor, an engine that kept me in other brands for a decade), that was as inefficient as it was lacking in power for its size, to an engine that is more than 10 years newer? Turbo no less? I can imagine why you are impressed....
Maybe a more apt comparison would perhaps be the latest greatest Ford turbo engine, not some dinosaur that still lingers (in 2 valve form) in E-series vans.....
Not even sure why you would post that as a gas vs diesel comparison.
