I like the look of it though I would tone the grill mesh down a bit. I am wanting to see the numbers like many have said. I am hoing this is that gap truck between a heavy half or a full blown 6.7 Diesel offering.
I also agree with what IDad said this would be and awsome engine in a Ram 2500. Even my next TT is only rated at 9200 lbs wet, but that would put me at the very top end of the halfs and the bottom end of the larger HD trucks.
Excited that it has finally released and am looking forward to the real world numbers.
With all due respect, that would be a TERRIBLE engine for a Ram 2500.
130 hp and 300+ lbs/ft of torque lower than the competition? They'd be the laughing stock of the 2500 series truck market. No one can afford to do that. Can you imagine the comparison tests?
Many on here care more about mpg than the average truck buyer. Most people care most about capability when it comes to HD trucks (2500 & 3500), not mpg. 1500 series truck buyers care about mpg, and not so much about capability. The automakers know the market.
Actually I read the V8 5.0 Cummins was supposed to be offered as an entry level diesel for the RAM HD's and the V6 Cummins was supposed to be offered in the 1500 RAM.
