All three manufacturers now have strong transmissions. Once Ford went to the 5R110 and now to the 6R140, they have good ones. Once GM went to the Allison, they have good ones. Once Dodge/Ram went to the Aisin, they have good ones. Arguing about transmissions today only applies to older vehicles.
Ford is now putting the 6.7 PSD and 6R140 in to their F650 and F750 and no longer using the Cummins/Allison combination. This again is now an argument of the past model years and no longer current.
