Time to clean varnish from the carburetor.
Do yourself a favor and each time before putting gas engine into storage - run carburetor dry. If you don't have fuel valve, install one.
I've been doing it for 25 years and it took 20 years for my 13 HP pressure washer carburetor to need some maintenance. Honda engine.
My lawn mowers did run on 2-years old gas.
