I have a rather heavy table and have a single aluminum leg with screw down base. They sure sell them cheap enough on E Bay.
I broke the first one by attaching some filler on the bottom of the leg to make it stop wobbling.
That folding set looks to be a much better alternative but, yes, ouch on the shipping.
