All great ideas, thanks for the feedback. The table is in a booth dinette, so we can't mount the table to the wall. The flooring is thick carpet and in a slide, so the factory screws for the base are really short. That's why they pulled out so easily - on the first trip!
A stand alone option seemed better, but will probably take up valuable human leg space. If there are other options, we are interested.
