Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Make it wet, swipe a small area, follow with a dry cloth. Do small sections at a time until you've covered the entire awning. The eraser will put a chemical on the awning that will prevent black from coming back. Mine is now 2 years old. I've used Mr. Magic Eraser twice (in the spring). Awning is still nice and white, except for some dead bug spots. Touch up those spots with the eraser, and everything stays bright! Do not "rub", just wipe. If it doesn't come off the first time, wipe again, but don't scrub. Keep it wet.
