How do you rickeoni and Bedlam know if The TC came from Lance with a latch issue or if an idiot had messed it or other things up at the show? I doubt the dealer hadn't checked the units out thoroughly before taking them to the show as they aren't stupid! You seem so happy to blame things on the manufacturer! However, not one word about the other brands of TC's or what you own. Very interesting!
Lance was on our short list when we we started looking at TC's in 2010. It remained on the list due to the popularity of the brand but its ranking continued to drop on our list when we saw its competitors. If I was to point to the best made TC, it would not be mine - It would be the Northern Lite. The only reason we do not own one is because their features and capacities did not match what we wanted.
I don't care if the issues are manufacturer, dealer or customer related. If multiple units show the same problem, it indicates a flaw in the design or material.
The only issues I have had with my Arctic Fox is some of the LED marker lights prematurely failed and were replaced under warranty and some of the cabinet hinge screws were over tightened requiring filling the holes and retapping the screws. The first issue was a problem with the supplier of the lights. The second problem was an issue with build quality.
I would like some things done differently in the Arctic Fox, but those are my preferences and not manufacturer or dealer issues. Although this is my first TC, we have owned a clam shell fiberglass trailer, pop up tent trailer and bumper pull toy hauler. Our experience with different RV's gives us wide view of what has been built in the last 40 years considering we have never bought the same type of RV from our previous one and never have bought the same brand (Scamp, Coleman, Weekend Warrior, Northwood).
If I offended someone with my observations, I apologize because it is not an attack on any individual.
