Weight is definitely an issue with many of the hard sides and Arctic Foxes are consistently the heavier choice. We needed the most room and capacity that would fit a SB SRW truck and still be able to tow. Although we boon dock, we go as far as the trailer in tow will go and then have toys that can take us to more remote or extreme areas.
Our switch to a TC was due to an increase in the size of toys and a desire to not increase our foot print or accessibility we currently had. The fact that the garage (enclosed trailer) is now optional when we camp, has opened up other areas for us. The last 4-day weekend was spent with just the TC dropped to the ground and the truck used to shuffle us to waterfront towns, movies, shopping, and wine tastings all while watching Pacific storms in comfort.
I am thick skinned and even keeled - Some may even feel I am indifferent to what is currently happening due to my demeanor. This is not the case, I just do more introspection before responding than people driven by emotion or zeal.
