Used to go to Schwab. Schwabs about 2 mins from my house. Discount is about 15-20 mins. It seems every time I went into Schwab they wanted to sell me what they thought were what I needed, not what I knew I needed.
Discount works with me like a friend not a cow heading to slaughter.
Sad to say but your experience with Schwab is what I experienced starting about a decade ago. And prices were no great bargain.
