We usually make between 250 & 400 miles per day , depending on the time we roll out. My bride does NOT do early very well. If we are going to do over 250 , I try to leave before 08:00. If we don't make that time it's a shorter mileage day. Since I'm retired and doing all the driving , I don't care about miles behind me. That is , MOST of the time. Longest I've pushed it since I retired is 760 mi. in one day. Needless to say at 73 yrs of age I won't be doing that again. In my younger days I would leave Houston TX. and drive straight through to Durango CO. about 1100 miles.
