DIY Camper Repair - Exterior Shower Hose (Solved)

Pictures of the solution below in thread. Thanks for the help guys! :)

As you can see depicted in the picture below, the red arrow points to the threaded cap (female end) which screws on to the shower head and has cracked.

The green arrow depicts the remainder of the hose which is recessed in the body of the camper and is inaccessible without disassembly of the entire exterior shower compartment, caulking and all.

Apparently you cannot just buy the female end fitting and replace it. You can only purchase a new length of hose, with fittings on both ends.

So, I'm considering buying a new hose with fittings, cutting the end off of it and splicing it in-line with my current hose. If one of you handy DIY'ers can think of a better solution I'm all ears. Thanks!

This is on my 2011, Lance 825, Camper.

  • Just replaced mine today. There was no shower assembly other than the exterior mount. Went to the homo depot and found a shower wand with hose that is attached to a spigot (tub) and is used to clean the shower walls. I cut off the spigot end and attached to a fitting that attached to the 't' fitting under the sink. Found in the plumbing dept. Works great for an out door shower and it was only 9.00
  • Looks like screws in the edges of the box maybe you can remove the box from this side and get to the hose?
    Good Luck, Mike
