Do I have any recourse?
I should have known when orig. salesman didn't know about unit for sale, and no picture online, that there might be a problem. This was for a used 2011 21BH Cataline TT bought in the state of IN.
Provided listed stock # and salesman was able to find unit. Arranged for inspection. Showed up and salesman was busy, so another person showed me the unit. Immediately upon walking into the TT, there was a piece of luann on the floor to the right of the door. Person showing even commented on wonder why that there.
Didn't discover any forthcoming problems and put money down on Sat. Unit wouldn't be avail. until Wed. for pickup. Systems had to be checked.
Upon pickup, all tanks had been filled to check out systems. Clean tank had busted supports and was resting on axle. I mentioned this but really needed to get trailer on the road to new job. Drained tank for ride home and fixed support issue at home.
After walking inside trailer where luann was, there was a soft spot. Pulled up linoleum to find a rotted spot approx. 1x1 foot. I also proceeded to fix this.
Called dealer to speak with salesman. He was so apologetic and said he would speak to GM about issue. I had paid asking price of $9995, no haggle. Then requested $1000 in return for issues. That was Sat., this is Wed. and no response.
The bill of sale does disclose "as is". But I'm wondering if such problems, especially the known rotted floor should have been disclosed. Appears to be shady deal to me.
Where to from here. Email dealer? Contact BBB? Chalk it up to me being a dumbass............
