Do I have the camper package?

2004 F250 Super Duty 6.0D short bed. Looking at the springs, there is one on the bottom, a stack of 4, then a single flying above that. Is that a factory helper spring? The only other clue I see is that the rear window is a slider. Looks like with Lance's smallest- the 650, I'll exceed the GVWR by 500lbs fully loaded, BTW. Photo on next post!

  • We discuss that Ford test in the past only to find tons of BS in it.

Ya well, there is a ton of BS in most discussions about the right truck camper for a pickup or visa versa...There are those that just go do it and adapt and those that go strictly by the book.

    That's the net for 'ya..(laughing)

"For the test" doesn't mean you can buy that thing.
For my 2017 F350 dually, the only change with camper package was heavier front stabilizer bar.
Rear stabilizer bar is standard with all duallies at least.

In 2017 Ford ran a test for carrying a truck camper which included the camper package..

For the test, we added the Camper Package which includes higher spring rate in the front, a rear stabilizer bar, and a rear auxiliary spring.
