While shopping for tires I noticed that some tire brands had a load rating of D at 65 psi and a load rating of C at 55 psi. The objective was to match the tire pressure to the load rating for the best performance.
When one of the 5 yr old LR C Chinese bombs on our Coachmen split for no apparent reason I didn't pause for a second replacing them with Goodyear Endurance which in the ST205/75 R14 size are only sold in LR D with a recommended inflation of 65 p.s.i. The trailer typically averages 4500 - 4800 lbs loaded & ready to camp, didn't notice any harsh ride at all, in fact the trailer towed more stably, with far less body roll.
