I think some have lost the fact OPs situation with that small tandem axle 4500 lb gross weight trailer only needs 1125-1200 lb rated tires.
Hell I ran 14"-15" P tires on my 7k cargo tool trailers with 3500 lb axles (1750 lb load per tire). They were good for 35k-40k miles at any speed.
Funny how after this many pages, and the reply moving to tires not even pertaining to the OPs trailer, it seemed the OP recognized right away, why he did not need D rated tires. His tires at 1760 rating at 50 psi had more than enough margin.
Tire inflation charts, like the one posted early in this thread give an idea as to the minimum psi required, but did anyone notice that in the OPs case, a D rated tire could carry his load at 25 psi, rather than 65 psi.

Some people here are saying that running a tire at less than full inflation creates extra wear. If that’s true, then I don’t want a D. If running a D at 45 psi wears well, then I could get a D.
