I've only been discriminated once with an RV and then it was based on the age. RV was not a truck camper. They wanted 10 years or newer. I explained that it was in great shape and I only needed one night for a special swim meet for my children, and they "graciously" allowed me to stay the night.
But I've also stayed at nice, "class A type" resort in the Palm Springs area and they had no problem with us or our pop-up truck camper.
Bottom line, if they don't want a truck camper in, then I don't want to spend a night there either. But I think it's rare.
