Last year we stayed at a wonderful campground on Lake Guntersville in Alabama (Honeycomb Creek).
That may be the first place we ever camped in our Lance. I know it was the first campground where we removed the camper from the truck to make launching our bassboat easier.

Old Timers around here refer to that part of Guntersville Lake as "Whitakers Lake". I have no idea why.
I was actually kicked out of that cg back in the 70's when there realized we had two dirt bikes. They were on a trailer and we had no plans of unloading them in the cg, but we "had to go" anyway.
Just remember, there are a-holes everywhere but just because you run across some on Guntersville does not mean they are locals. That lake has become too famous for its own good and it not uncommon for the majority of the vehicles parked at the boat ramps to have out of state tags.
