That is an interesting point, our rig is right at 20' plus the portable step sitting out back. We can camp for close to a week without hookups. Numerous times we were allowed to camp in sites normally reserved for tents because of our size and lack of hookup needs and saved a few dollars. Many campgrounds are more than happy to have us fill sites that are under used to keep the bigger spots open for the next guy that drives in.
You just hit a sore spot I have with some campgrounds. The need of them to put you in the smallest site where you will fit yet the guy with the larger rig and more consumption pays the same for a larger site...
