You just hit a sore spot I have with some campgrounds. The need of them to put you in the smallest site where you will fit yet the guy with the larger rig and more consumption pays the same for a larger site...
so you think it is correct that when a 22 ft unit of any type comes into the campground that they give it the 50 ft long space and then when the 40 footer comes in all that is left is the 30 ft space?

I don't feel I should be shoehorned into a small spot because I choose a smaller rig. Maybe I chose a smaller rig so I have more room in my site? Maybe I can go out more often without an itinerary or making reservations because of the flexibility to fit more sites? When I am limited in choice of sites that are equally priced due to my compactness, I may not get the same value in my stay at that campground. I knew that having a large rig would limit where I camped and it was a deciding factor in choosing our TC over a 40' toy hauler. I think people that choose the larger rigs need to understand they lose availability in exchange for expanse and their choice should not be affecting mine.
I have no issue with tiered pricing for sites. Let me choose the tier I wish to pay and then let me choose the site that appeals to me within that tier.
