You can find numerous threads where this goes on forever. Some (like me) always leave the propane on. Others insist you will blow things up if you dare do such a thing.
I've never heard of a law against it and I highly doubt there is one. RV systems are designed to be used in motion; that's kind of the whole point of an RV. If it was mandated that people left them off there wouldn't be much need for check pints ahead of tunnels and the like.
I like cold food so I leave mine on all the time. Been doing that for 17 years.
