I always run with propane on.
I once had a catastrophic failure and totaled my TT when a steel belted radial came apart. The destruction included ripping out charged propane lines feeding my fridge.
The bottle has a failsafe valve that will cut the flow in the event of a sudden pressure change. Mine stopped the flow immediately when the gas lines were severed by the shards of the tire destroying everything in its path.
TT was a 69 so this is not new technology.
Disaster averted.
I will always run with my gas on. Don't care what anyone says.
