Last time I drove with propane on was over 20 years ago, when inverters have been very expensive and hard to get.
I've seen too many RV burned down to floor level to take the risk.
I know the risk is low, but look at penalties, when today almost every RV has inverter anyway and adding 1 gallon of fuel to main tank is way easier than adding a gallon of propane.
