In the 30 some odd years I've been camping in truck campers and a motor home I have always driven with the propane on to run the fridge. All these years I had never concidered this might be dangerous ...

Ok, let's assume that propane is too dangerous to leave on. I guess we need a law to make it illegal to carry propane. We could have giant propane tanks out in the woods or campgrounds and hook up ... wait, they'll need lines, too! :)
I hope nobody is carrying gasoline, gasoline generator, or has a gasoline powered truck. That's just risking their lives and everyone around them. ;)
In the real world though, it's common for propane powered vehicles to leave their propane on. Go figure. :D
