Do you ever wonder what's up with floorplans?

Honestly I have to wonder what manufacturers are thinking sometimes when they design some of their RVs. This is especially true in the placement of the sofa. Have ever noticed they seem to put one where ever there is room seemingly without thought?

For example, WHY put the sofa directly across from the kitchen? So we can keep a close eye on what's being made for lunch?
